Fireworks for a Blog Hop

The folks at the Blog Hop Spot are doing it again, this time in celebration of Independence Day.
I usually spend this time of year watching out the windows for fires, part of the dangers of desert community living. While I'm pacing and watching the horizon, let us know how you spend your holiday. (Hopefully in less of a state of panic than I do!)
One comment will earn a free ebook from my backlist.
And dont forget to follow the link and join the hop!

We usually spend the holiday in the little village of Munds Park, just south of Flagstaff. We keep a watchful eye out for fires as well, but the town parade is a hoot and a reminder of simpler times.

i live in the big city far away from 'fire zones' but even in our parks we have to be careful when it gets dry. and i am looking forward to the fireworks this week :)

Watching the fireworks in the mountains. Totally different view looking down on them!

Good karma and best wishes for you in your watches...wild fires aren't a problem here in the coal region of Pennsylvania (unless you coun't the decades-old mine fire that is burning under Centralia.)

Hopefully, I'll spend the holiday with my family, enjoying a late afternoon get together--once the housework is done, of course!

I wouldn't remain a Domestic Goddess if I didn't see to that last part. :D

The boyfriend and I will probably just spend the day inside with the AC blasting since its ridiculously hot and humid here in Minnesota. Then maybe we'll try to find a fireworks show to go to.
